  • I thought everyone at Balmoral was sincerely sympathetic and very kind. They took their time in explaining details and answering my questions. I decided to pay an extra fee and make an appointment to attend the cremation rather than leave the body and call for the ashes later. They held the body in a freezer until the scheduled appointment at no extra charge.

The crematory has an observation room with a large window that is only about 10 or 12 feet away from the cremator. Allen, the owner, explained everything that he was going to do. He was respectful of my feelings and was gentle in handling the body of my dear old cat.

I was able to see my pet go into the cremator, the door sealed and the temperature set. It was a beautiful day, so I waited outside for the hour and a half it took. Allen then called me back inside and we talked for a while until the machine had cooled enough for him to open the door. I watched as he opened it and collected the ashes.

It’s a hard thing to lose a beloved, irreplaceable animal. The team at Balmoral helped me pass through the final stage with as little additional trauma and anguish as possible.

  • We cremated our dog here in the '80's. They seemed understanding of our loss, as I recall. But one thing I have always wondered, how do I know those were the ashes of our dog and not someone elses?
